Unfortunately, even if conception occurs, women with PCOS face a higher risk of experiencing miscarriage. Studies suggest that the miscarriage rate for women with PCOS can be as high as 30-50%, which is significantly higher than the general population. ​ Several factors related to PCOS contribute to this increased risk.
